ABOUT THE GOLF COURSE

  • Rio Secco Golf Club was designed and built in 1997 by golf course architect Rees Jones.
  • When Rio Secco opened in 1997 Golf Digest and Golf Magazine voted it among the top ten new courses.  In 2007Golfweek America's 100 Greatest Resort Golf Courses."  Voted the # 1 public access course in Nevada by the Las Vegas PGA membership poll along with many other awards.
  • Rio Secco lays at the foothills of the Black Mountain Range 13.5 miles southeast of the Las Vegas Strip.
  • Rio Secco can play to over 7,400 yards and very difficult, but also offers four teeing grounds to allow golfers of any skill level a memorable golf experience.
  • Rio Secco features 6 holes through steep canyons, 6 holes on a plateau overlooking the city and 6 holes in a broad desert wash.
  • Rio Secco is legendary among local residents and avid golfers alike for the tremendously challenging, fair, and demanding course layout.

  • Butch Harmon, known as "the best golf instructor in the world", former golf coach of Tiger Woods, and current coach of many of the top touring professionals including Phil Mickelson, has a teaching facility at Rio Secco.
  • One, two, and three day Golf Schools with Butch and his staff are available.
